Gutter Guards $8 a foot installed, half price when purchased with any other roof service.

All gutter guards have pros and cons we have tested and or examined many types and will be completely honest if you want to talk about the different types.  We have gotten excited about several types of gutter guards over the years only to later discover that almost all need to be cleaned and reinstalled.  In most cases once we discuss the initial cost of the gutter guards and the cost of cleaning them it becomes clear in most situations that blowing off the roof, inspecting the roof and treating for moss once a year is a better use of the customers money.  There are exceptions, such as homes with very heavy trees.  We really would like to sell off our inventory of RainFlow Gutter Guards USA.  We bought several Pallets and would like to install them for some home owners with heavy tree debris.  We also have a few hundred feet of invisiguard II we would like to install for someone.

What is Rain Flow?

Rain Flow Gutter Guards USA are made of all natural fibers and coated with a UV stable premium acrylic latex.

How does Rain Flow work?

The inventor says “Because leaves, seeds, pine needles, pinecones and other debris are suspended on top of Rain Flow, gutters continue to work as intended.  Air circulation above, below, in theory debris are allowed it to dry up quickly and blow away in the wind.”   So 4-5 month a year in Portland that is a mostly true statement.  Certain seeds will grow on or in rain flow if the roof is not treated and the rain flow must also be taken out and clean once a year in some cases.

Will anything clog Rain Flow material?

the inventor says “Rain Flow will not clog.  Because of its design, every rainfall washes it clean and gutters remain free flowing.”   We installed RainFlow in several homes in 2007 and 2008.  There were to homes that the Rainflow USA gutter guard collected enough dirt for some organic growth to sprout up.  Treating the roof for moss growth and spraying the gutter guards after taking them out and cleaning them solved the problem, but we have to do that twice a year.

Will shingle grit affect Rain Flow?

The inventor says “Shingle grit will not affect Rain Flow. It simply passes through as if the gutters were empty.”   True

Will pine needles affect Rain Flow?

Inventor says “Pine needles are suspended on top of Rain Flow and water flows right through them. Because of air circulation around the pine needles, they dry up quickly and blow away in the wind.”   some pine needles will stick strait up and not blow away.

How long will Rain Flow last?

inventor says “The material in Rain Flow is manufactured from all natural fibers coated with a UV stable premium latex. It will not rot, crush or become matted down. As such, Rain Flow carries a 20 year warranty.”  This seems true, but I don’t think Rain Flow USA has been on the market even 10 years let alone 20.
